Here's a really easy, delicious and dessert-worthy smoothie that smacks of summer! I had some vanilla rice milk, half a bag of frozen, organic strawberries, and some raw orange blossom honey from Bee Raw (to taste--1-2tbs) and I blended it all together. The End! It's good.

This is so much better than yesterday's effort. I tried making a dairy-free version of frozen hot chocolate, using hemp milk. Unfortunately the brand of hemp milk I used (I think it was Tempt?) was so fishy tasting that it tasted like I pureed a fish with some chocolate and sugar. AUGH. I couldn't drink it. I tried...but no. I find that I don't like using hemp milk in smoothies. Although the nutritional profile is excellent, it just doesn't translate well in most drink applications. Just my humble opinion. There's one exception to that, which is when I have it with a mate or mate mix. It seems to compliment the flavors of that very well--but not so much with other types of drinks. Cooking with hemp milk is much more successful. And then there's my favorite hemp milk product ever, which is the Hemp, I Scream! sandwich.  I LOVE the jasmine flowers flavor. The other flavors are amazing, too, though. It's too bad it isn't also gluten-free because I am also trying to avoid gluten even though I have no idea whether I am allergic to it or not. I'm more certain of the dairy allergy.

Anyway, I was interrupted just now by two sets of people knocking on the door (bill collectors!) looking for people next door that were, apparently, avoiding the bill collectors. Wince. I mean, they wanted a lot of info from me, most of which I did not have.

Did I mention this neighborhood is not my favorite?

Yours Truly,
Hannah
