Yum! I am always trying different kinds of dairy-free ice cream, and when I came across this flavor today I couldn't resist! It's not only dairy-free but also gluten-free. I do think there is some soy in it, which is a problem for some. I am thinking of cutting back on soy because of a few controversial things I've heard about it, but I am reluctant to give it up entirely unless I display allergic reactions to it.

In any event, this stuff is wonderful! If I had to describe it in a sentence I would say that it is comparable to a combination of ice cream, Gajar Ka Halwa and this strange cereal I had one time that has raisins that are coated in some sort of powdered nut mixture (Raisin Nut Bran, I think it's called). It's really delicious, although I'm not sure you'd come to that conclusion from reading my description. The not-too-intense carrot flavor of the ice cream is just right and the chunks of gluten-free carrot cake are lovely and often accompanied by a raisin (if you're OK with raisins). That's the part that reminded me of the Indian carrot pudding. I'm thinking of getting a pint for my dairy-allergic dad who also loves carrot cake.

I definitely give this one a four star rating!
